Lets start off with what the blog title means... well, I guess its pretty much self explanatory. Yesterday is now just a memory in our minds, and in the minds of the people we've interacted with. Its so strange how the memories/situations of our past, lead us to where we are today. Don't you think? It's not only where we are, its who we are, who we've become. I think about the past a lot, and all the times I've had, the good and the bad. Some things make me happy, some things make me sad, and others make me mad. Some of the choices I've made weren't always the greatest possible course for my life, but I guess that also creates who we are. Sometimes we have to fall, and learn to get back up, to straighten our lives out. That's what makes us stronger as a person, it builds character, and it is proof that we can overcome pretty much anything/everything.
There are so many sayings out there about life, and I want to talk a bit about a few of them:
1. Life is what you make it: Of course it is... but you don't always have the option to make it the best. I've always said you are a product of your environment, and its so hard to break from the situation that surrounds you. If you're always surrounded by negativity, then chances are, you will be a negative person because of it. But you can always overcome these obstacles, you just have to keep positive, and stay strong, because everything works out in the end...
2. Everything works out in the end: Says who? Who makes up this rule?... what does it mean, when you say it works out in the end? Is it when you die that everything has worked out? This has always confused me, and I've been told it sooooo many times growing up. I think what its trying to say is that even though you are in the slumps and everything is not going your way... if you work hard, stay positive, and stay true to YOU, then you can overcome your current bad situation, and move on to the next.
3. Stay Positive: How many of you (actually there are no one reading this... YET) have been told to stay postive when you are in the worse mood ever? Something happened to put you in this mood, lets just say... your car just had all its windows smashed out while you were parked in a parking lot (see Extra Info below for story). Of course you are going to be absolutely furious, and then someone says; "Oh, Stay Postive, you'll be ok"... What is your first reaction? Mine would be "F*** OFF"... but I just like to swear, haha. I mean how can you stay positive in that moment. I know getting so mad your spitting fire won't fix your windows, but it certainly helps to blow off steam. But in reality what you should do is... just take a deep breath... hold it for 3 seconds... release it, along with your fustrations... because like I said, its not going to help diving off the deep end...
So, the moral to this blog post is this... Its your life... the joystick is in your hands... if you stay positive, and remember to breath... you can overcome pretty much anything... and if you can't... then lean to your friends and family for support... If they are true... they will help you overcome everything, even the mistakes of Yesterday.

Extra Info:
This actually happened to my Uncle Tim. It started at Valley View Apartments (its like an apartment complex you can just rent for a night, weekend, etc) where we were drinking with a buddy that was in town for the weekend. My uncle gave me a ride, and he decided to keep his car parked in the parking lot all night, because we were drinking, and drinking and driving is a big NO NO!.
So we drank at the apartment for a while, listened to some tunes, chatting and what not, then we decided to go downtown to a club. All was fine and dandy, we had a good time downtown, my uncle went on home after the bar, and I went back to my buddy's apartment to have a few more drinks before hitting the sack for the night.
So we woke up the next morning, and went to go pick my uncle up and drive him back to get his car. When we went down in the parking lot, we seen his car......... two windows... the front passenger side and back window were completely smashed in, and...Oh yea... I forgot to mention... that there was a huge snow storm over night, and his car was literally half full of snow... I lost my words, my breath, and nearly shit myself... and I was the one going to have to tell him about it...
So I got to my uncles, and I said "Man, I don't know how to tell you this, but your windows were smashed out of your car, and its now full of snow" Covering my eyes and face from the impending explosion I expected to be coming my way, I heard him say "Oh, I thought you were going to say someone died. That's not good" saying this while remaining perfectly calm, and not getting upset at all. I thought to myself, "NOT GOOD? NOT GOOD? THIS IS AN OUTRAGE, WHO DONE THIS, WHY, GRAAAAHHH!!!" I was completely baffled by his calmness, and could not understand how he could keep his calm composure. But this is his nature, he is normally pretty calm, cool, and collective, and for the most part, is a positive influence in my life. I guess he takes after my Pop... I have only once in my lifetime seen him get upset... but I'll leave that story for another time...
Peace!
Ya...keep this going bro
